October 1998 Earthdog Trial

	This is my first earthdog trial. I did the junior earthdog test. I didn't qualify, but hey, I had never seen a rat before. Mom took me to a practice later and I was much better when I found out that if you go in the tunnel then you get to bark at a rat. It was lots of fun.
	Here I am waiting for my turn. Boy, was it cold. When I started my test I smelled this very interesting stuff. It when straight into a hole in the ground. It was pretty neat. Afterwards I got to look at a real live rat. And it smelled just like that stuff that was on the ground. I can't wait to go to another trial. I really like this rat game.
